First opened in 1889, Garrick Theatre London is steeped in history and is famous for its productions of comedies and melodramas. Author of over 75 plays, including the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, playwright W. S. Gilbert originally financed Garrick Theatre London. It is named after one of the most influential Shakespearean actors, David Garrick.
